The Amman Center for Human Rights Studies releases its newsletter for Spring 2026, detailing our organization’s work in advancing human rights across the MENA region through research, advocacy, and UN engagement since January to March 2026.
The newsletter covers ACHRS’ key activities:
- Participation in regional events and UN working groups on education, refugee protection, gender-based violence, and economic empowerment.
- Launch of a Justice and Rule of Law Unit to support legal reform, accountability, and access to justice.
- Youth-focused initiatives on digital rights and digital literacy.
Advocacy, monitoring & research:
The Center has issued statements on human rights, reported on the use of death penalty, and monitored major issues discussed at the UN Human Rights Council, including genocide and war crimes in Gaza and Sudan, disinformation, human rights defenders, and the misuse of anti-terrorism laws in the Arab region.
Outlook:
The Center’s future areas of focus will emphasize digital human rights research, regional conflict monitoring, and expanding youth rights advocacy.
