Statement: International Day of Peaceful Coexistence 2026
We at the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies (ACHRS) join the international community in observing the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence.
It is well understood that a peaceful environment and peaceful coexistence are necessary conditions for the full realization and enjoyment of the human rights contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the various human rights conventions.
ACHRS therefore calls on all states in the Arab Region to cease hostilities and all other actions that are contrary to the attainment of peace and security.
