Citizenship and Entry Law StatementIsrael’s new government voted Tuesday on the Citizenship and Entry Law, failing to extend it for another year for the first time since its passage in 2003. A compromise has extended it for six months, until a new vote can be held. ACHRS condemns the extension of this discriminatory legislation and supports an end to the Citizenship and Entry Law with a pathway to swift family reunification, residency, and citizenship for Palestinian residents.
