The conclusion of the first phase Women’s leadership program in Libya
The first stage of women’s leadership program which was organized by the Foundation for the Future and the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies was concluded in Tripoli the capital of Libya.
The course, which involved 21 Libyan participants and lasted for four days, included training on the concepts of the state, the Constitution, the law, citizenship, democracy, human rights, women’s human rights , the development of political pluralism, the devolution of power, women and decision-making positions, the International Bill of Human Rights, international declarations and conventions on Human Rights ratified by Libya, public freedoms, political parties in terms of the origins and evolution, international and local laws of political parties, the experience of women in politics, functions and roles of political parties, unions and the importance of union action, the role of parliaments in legislation, accounting, and management of state funds, appointments of senior positions in the state, internal regulations of parliaments and the mechanisms of forming and action of the parliamentary blocs, in addition to the role of civil society organizations and women ‘s organizations in public life
