The ACHRS concluded a training course on human rights and election monitoring

On the 16th of November, 2007, the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies (ACHRS) conducted a training course at the Orthodox Church on human rights issues and election monitoring by Mr. Muhammad Sarsak.

The seminar, which was attended by 57 participants ranging from, ages 11-18 and composed by both girls and boys, was centered on international human rights law. Especial attention was directed towards the Convention on the Rights of the Child and children’s’ rights in general. Mr. Muhammad Sarsak also described and explained the importance of election monitoring, fair and independent elections and how the electoral law works in Jordan.
