Statement: International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

Today, on 29 November 2025, the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies (ACHRS) joins states, international organizations, members of civil society, and citizens around the world in commemorating the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian people. On this day, and especially in the context of genocide in Gaza, the ACHRS expresses its solidarity with the Palestinian people for their right to self-determination, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, in accordance with international law, as well as resolutions by the UN General Assembly and UN Human Rights Council, such as A/RES/79/163 and A/HRC/RES/58/27. The ACHRS would also like to use this occasion to reaffirm our commitment to continue with the work in our various programmes to help Palestinian people achieve the full realization of their human rights.
Right now, the ACHRS calls upon all peace-loving forces to exert political and diplomatic efforts to ensure the continuation and actual execution of the ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, and to provide urgent humanitarian relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip by delivering food, medical and pharmaceutical aid, and all materials that provide temporary shelter for hundreds of thousands of civilians, including women and children, as winter approaches. This is in addition to halting the daily attacks perpetrated against the Palestinian people in the West Bank by settlers, supported by the occupying Israeli army.
On this International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, the ACHRS appeals to the United Nations and all peace-loving countries to assume their responsibilities in implementing the resolutions of international legitimacy concerning the Palestinian issue, considering this an obligatory path to achieving security and peace in the Middle East region, peace based on justice, for there is no peace without justice. In this process, it is essential that the right to return, the question of Al-Quds/Jerusalem, illegal settlements, and reparations are addressed.
The ACHRS will continue to do its work to protect the human rights of the Palestinian People until an independent state is established, and thereafter.
