The conclusion of a study visit to Lebanon for participants in the third group of the Jordan Institute for Women leaders program

A study visit to Lebanon for participants in the Jordanian Institute’s program for women leaders was concluded. The visit lasted for four days where they were acquainted with the experiences and mechanisms of action of a number of civil institutions and the parliament in Lebanon.
The study visit included an introduction to the mechanism of action of Smart Center, the work programs of the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering in the empowerment of women at various levels, the experience of the Women Pioneers Organization, the work of the Liberal National Movement Party in Beirut to promote women’s rights, the experience of female presidency of the Green Party and promoting women’s rights within the party at the Lebanese national level, the experience of the Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections in monitoring parliamentary and municipal elections in Lebanon, and Lebanon Union for development, as the study visit included some of the Lebanese civil institutions concerned with training and building institutional capacity.
It is noteworthy that the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies carried out this program three years ago with the support of the Finnish Church Aid (FCA), where two groups already graduated and the third, which includes 10 women from different governorates of the Kingdom, will graduating next month.
