Meeting between ACHRS and AIESEC in the Netherlands

On March 10, the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies received the Netherlands delegation of AIESEC (Association internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales)

The meeting was held to discuss the opportunity to host a Dutch student at the Center, for a period of 6 to 8 weeks during summer.

This exchange is part of the “NOUR Project”, whose aim is to “bridge the gap between Arab and Western world, and to create mutual understanding”. The project supports the activity of sending Dutch students to work in associations and NGOs situated in the Middle-East and North Africa countries. For the year 2014, the four countries targeted by NOUR project are Jordan, Oman, Tunisia and Morocco.

AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organization, directed to young people to explore and develop their leadership potential and to have a positive impact on society. The organization operates in 124 countries, relies on the coordination of 2100 universities and 2400 members. AIESEC was founded in 1948 and, since then, it has involved more than 945000 people in its activities.
