ACHRS participated in the symposium “Human Rights and Peaceful Coexistence”

The Amman Center for Human Rights Studies (ACHRS) participated in the symposium “Human Rights and Peaceful Coexistence” organized by the League of Arab States in Cairo on March 16, 2017, through Advocate Samih Sinokrot, Legal Coordinator of the ACHRS
Speeches at the opening ceremony done by: Hadi bin Ali al-Yami, Chairman of the Committee on Arab Human Rights, Mr. Alaa Al-Said Abed, member of the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Committee of the Arab Parliament, and Ambassador Ahmed Bin Helli, Deputy Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
During the seminar, seven working papers were presented by: Dr. Mohieddin Afifi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Ambassador of the Holy See-Vatican, Salah al-Din al-Ja’farawi, a collaborator with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr. Akef Mohammed Al-Mobaydhin Director of the Department of Dialogue of Civilizations in League of Arab States, and Mr. Rashid Ahmed Al-Taniji, member of the National Program for Tolerance in the Ministry of Tolerance in the UAE, in addition to a scientific paper from the Arab Human Rights Committee.
