Our statement in a nutshell

After Human Rights Watch accused Israel of crimes against humanity and apartheid, forced evictions of Palestinian homeowners in Sheikh Jarrah led to rising tensions. Escalations have resulted in the disproportionate use of force by Israel against Palestinian citizens in Gaza, with hundreds of civilians dead.

The rapidly increasing violence on civilians both in Israel and Gaza violate the Geneva’s convention statute on the indiscriminate use of force on civilians. Additionally, Israel’s apartheid regime violates international law.

ACHRS condemns the apartheid state and the excessive use of force against civilians.
