Training course in Madaba on the skills of Women’s participation in public life
Within the framework of the Jordanian Institute program for women leaders the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies, in cooperation with the Melih Center for Development and with the support of Finn Church Aid organized a training course
on the skills of ” Women’s participation in public life”. The course has covered leadership skills and 24 women have taken part in the training
The course has covered not only knowledge about leadership skills but also ways of women’s participation in public life, models applied on the empowerment of women, skills selected in the management of election campaigns, and a review of women’s rights in Jordanian laws.
The trainers for the group of graduates of the Institute of Jordanian women leaders were: a lawyer from the Majd Club, lawyer Amani Aweys, and the researcher Lena Jazrawi.
The Amman Center for Human Rights Studies (ACHRS) carried out since 2010 the Jordanian Institute program of women leaders, which leaded 33 participants from various governorates in graduating and made possibile for 12 women the participation in a new programme on the same topic that will be developed next month with a duration of 1 year.
