Amman Center condemns the crimes of aggression against peaceful demonstrators in Yemen, Bahrain, and Syria and demands an international investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice

Amman Center expresses its deep concern that the security authorities in Bahrain, Yemen, and Syria use excessive force and live ammunition, which is a serious violation of the right to life and physical safety of the peaceful demonstrators. In Bahrain, and since February 14, dozens of demonstrators were killed, hundreds wounded, some of which were not received in government hospitals, human rights activists and Bahraini and foreign journalists were arrested and harassed, dozens missing, and hundreds are political prisoners.
In Yemen, and since February 16, more than (350) citizens died, and thousands wounded and injured. In Syria, and since 15 March, more than (200) demonstrator died and hundreds, and a group of human rights activists and a large number of protesters. The Center calls upon the authorities in Bahrain, Yemen and Syria to release all political prisoners and human rights defenders, journalists and participants in peaceful protests, and appeals to the authorities in Bahrain to reveal the fate of dozens of missing people. The Center calls upon the relevant mechanisms of the United Nations, including the Human Rights Council, to question the authorities of, Yemen, and Syria about the systematic violation of human rights and about the deaths and injuries, and to take measures to ensure non- for the officials who committed systematic crimes, including an international investigation.
The Centre expresses sincere condolences to the families of the victims in Bahrain, Yemen, and Syria, and expresses its solidarity with the legitimate of the peoples to freedom, justice, equality and respect for human rights and citizens. It also stresses the need to protect the right to life and physical integrity of citizens; and strongly condemns the use of all forms of violence, torture and violations of the of individual and collective rights and freedoms; and renews solidarity with rights activists and not compromising the freedom of activity in the of human rights, and calls to respect the right of citizens to peaceful and freedom of expression.
