Dialogue session on parliamentary work and human rights students For Al-Bayt University and the Hashemite University

The Amman Center for Human Rights Studies held a panel discussion on “Parliamentary Action and Human Rights” for Al-Bayt University and the Hashemite University students in the Center Hall.
The session covered topics of Jordan’s Political System specifically the parliaments role and functioning in legislative, supervisory, accountability as well as adapting the general budget.
The session touched on the role of members of the National Assembly in working to harmonize Jordanian legislation with the conventions ratified by Jordan in the field of human rights, especially after they were published in the Official Gazette.
This dialogue session is part of the project “Supporting Political Dialogue between Civil Society and the Jordanian Parliament” with the support of the United Nations Democracy Fund.
