The Founding Committee of the Youth Rights Forum Elects Its Council

The Founding Committee of the Youth Rights Forum convened following its approval of the Forum’s bylaws in its previous meeting held a month ago. During the session, the Forum’s Council was elected in accordance with Article Eight of the internal regulations. Seven members were elected as follows:

The elected Council will oversee preparations for convening the Forum’s General Assembly, launching its activities, and completing its official registration during the year 2026.

It is noteworthy that the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies initiated the establishment of this Forum last year, as part of its seventh strategic priority focusing on youth rights. The founding process spanned six months of continuous meetings among the founding members, who are graduates of the Youth Leadership Program. During this period, the Forum’s vision, mission, and objectives were discussed and adopted, along with the approval of its bylaws.

The Youth Rights Forum seeks to achieve the following objectives:

1. Eradicating digital illiteracy among youth.

2. Promoting a culture of human rights and active citizenship.

3. Empowering youth to participate in public life and decision-making.

4. Building youth capacities in leadership, justice, and transparency through advocacy and networking.

5. Defending the rights of marginalized youth groups.

6. Monitoring human rights violations against youth and raising legal awareness through research and education.

7. Collaborating with governmental and community institutions to achieve social justice and inclusion.
