Our Priorities

At the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies, we focus our work and advocacy around our seven priorities:

The Right to Life: we oppose the death penalty. We are a founding organisation of the Arab Coalition Against the Death Penalty (ACADP) and a member of the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty.

The Right to Think: we fight for academic environments free from censorship and where knowledge can be created and shared freely.

The Right to Speak: we defend freedom of expression and opinion.

The Right to Participate: we advocate for free and fair elections.

Women’s Rights: gender equality, the empowerment, and the rights of all women are a priority for the Center in all of our work.

The Right to Social Protection: fighting for dignity and opportunities for all persons with disabilities.

Youth Rights: we focus on the chances and inclusion of youth in society and decision-making.
