Meeting: ACHRS and the Inter-Agency Coordination Unit of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
On Wednesday December 3 2025, Dr. Nizam Assaf, joined by Ms. Julia Verwei and Mr. Tshepo Tlhacoane, met with Ms. Virginia Santoro, the Senior Inter-Agency Coordination Officer, and Ms. Lina Tu Aimeh, the Inter-Agency Coordination Associate from the Inter-Agency Coordination Unit (IACU) of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in order to explore ways in which our respective organizations can collaborate on issues of common concern.
The ACHRS introduced UNCHR colleagues to our seven priorities, and in return, we learned about UNCHR’s various programmes, including their working groups, their Jordanian Response Plan (JRP), and their Regional Response Plan (3RP).
We look forward to exploring the ways in which our organizations can collaborate on areas of common concern to progress our respective organizational objectives.
