Iramloo, from the 28th of September 2026 to the 2nd of October 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">In addition to attending the main high-level debates\u2013 including <strong>1<\/strong>) the Annual Discussion on the integration of a gender perspective throughout the work of the Human Rights Council and that of its mechanisms, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>2<\/strong>) Item 7: General Debate on the Human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories, and <strong>3<\/strong>) Item 9: Interactive Dialogue with the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Filipe and Romina participated in several side events, of which <\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">included:<\/span><em><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>\u201c<\/b><\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><b>Israel\u2019s Death Penalty Law Targeting Palestinian Prisoners: An Apartheid Framework\u201d<\/b><\/span> <span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">organised by <\/span><em><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Human Rights and Democratic Participation Center \u201cSHAMS\u201d <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">i<\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">n cooperation with the <\/span><em><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Women\u2019s Centre for Legal Aid and Counselling (WCLAC) <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">and<\/span><em><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"> Al-Haq, <\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">the Side Event on <strong>S<\/strong><\/span><strong>ettlement expansion, displacement and the duties of third states in the occupied Palestinian territory<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>,<\/strong> organised by the <\/span><em>Palestinian Return Centre<\/em>, the Side Event on <strong>Countering Anti-Migrant Narratives<\/strong>: <strong>The Role of Local and Regional Governments<\/strong>, organized by the <em>OHCHR Migration Unit<\/em>, the Side Event on <strong>Rights of Women Migrant Workers<\/strong>, organized by the <em>International Society for Human Rights (ISHR)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Filipe also delivered an oral statement on the 29th of September on Item 7, for the General debate titled: <strong>Human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">ACHRS will publish its reports on all relevant events of the Human Rights Council this week.
