The webinar aligns with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/our-priorities\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ACHRS\u2019s priorities<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on youth rights and the protection of human rights in the digital space, particularly in promoting inclusive participation and safeguarding freedoms online.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">It was noted that digital rights are an extension of basic human rights, including freedom of expression, privacy, and access to information.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The opportunities and risks associated with the digital world were discussed. The opportunities were noted to include the use of online platforms to promote the rights of the youth. The risks were also noted to include the use of online platforms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Some of the major obstacles to the realization of digital rights were noted to include the digital divide, lack of digital literacy, and issues surrounding online safety and security.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">The role of the youth in promoting and defending digital rights was noted to be crucial.
