The meeting focused on discussing and approving the network&#8217;s <\/span><span class=\"s7\">2026-action<\/span><span class=\"s7\"> plan, which aims to develop institutional work, secure funding, and enhance the role of network members.<\/span> <span class=\"s7\">The meeting was productive and inspiring, and all participants are determined to continue the important work or ENAR in 2026<\/span><span class=\"s7\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><span class=\"s7\">The meeting was hosted by <\/span><span class=\"s7\">ENAR member <\/span><span class=\"s7\">Shams Network for Election Monitoring and attended by the network&#8217;s president, Dr. Nizam Assaf, and chaired by the network&#8217;s executive director, Mr. Ho<\/span><span class=\"s7\">g<\/span><span class=\"s7\">r J<\/span><span class=\"s7\">e<\/span><span class=\"s7\">to. Executive <\/span><span class=\"s7\">B<\/span><span class=\"s7\">u<\/span><span class=\"s7\">r<\/span><span class=\"s7\">eau<\/span><span class=\"s7\"> members present <\/span><span class=\"s7\">included:<\/span><span class=\"s7\"> Dr. Gulshan Salgham, Ahmed Alloush, Salem Quba<\/span><span class=\"s7\">y<\/span><span class=\"s7\">lat, Asim Shia, Majed Dawi, and Akram Hassou.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s9\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><span class=\"s7\">It is worth mentioning that the network was established in 2006 at the initiative of the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies<\/span><span class=\"s7\">(ACHRS)<\/span><span class=\"s7\"> and includes (16) civil society organizations and networks that are fully or partially concerned with the subject of elections. Since its establishment until now, it has conducted (33) monitoring of presidential and parliamentary elections, voluntarily and without funding from anyone, in 12 Arab countries, where approximately (70) international observers from various Arab countries participated in monitoring them, in addition to several thousand local observers who were trained and involved in monitoring the elections by the member organizations of the network.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/2025\/11\/20\/7060\/the-executive-bureau-of-the-election-network-in-the-arab-region-holds-its-meeting\/\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">French and Spanish<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Executive Bureau of the Election Network in the Arab Region (ENAR) held its first meeting in Erbil on the sidelines of the Iraqi parliamentary elections on Monday, November 10, 2025.
