On the occasion of Jordan\u2019s Independence Day,<\/strong> the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies extends its warmest congratulations to the people of Jordan. Today, we celebrate Jordan\u2019s independence from British rule and remember the establishment of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which took place in 1946<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

While we honor the progress that has been made, we also think of those whose voices have not yet been heard. These are the people who still wait for justice and live in fear of speaking the truth. Their struggle is a part of our story too, and their freedom must be part of our future. True independence cannot exist without the protection of fundamental freedoms, such as the right to speak freely, equal treatment under the law, and justice for everyone. We believe that independence loses its meaning when people are silenced, marginalized, or denied their basic rights.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let this day inspire us<\/strong> to continue building a society where human rights are fully respected and upheld. We need a society where everyone is heard, valued, and protected by human rights.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here at the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies, we call upon all sectors:<\/strong> governmental, civil society, and individuals to work together towards a more just and inclusive Jordan, where the promise of independence is fulfilled for every citizen.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
