In light of the objectives of the Network, the Network\u2019s strategic plan for the years 2013 &#8211; 2016 was approved.<\/p>\n<p>Performance (activities) and fiscal reports for the period between 2006 and 2012 were discussion in the second session of the conference.<\/p>\n<p>The conference also adopted a resolution to expand the work of the Network services to include monitoring the electoral process and parliamentary performance in accordance with international standards. The conference also expressed thanks and gratitude for the efforts of all the former members of the board of directors.<\/p>\n<p>At the closing session the conferees elected Dr. Violet Dagher chairperson of the Network, Dr. Nidham Assaf executive director, and sixteen members of the Board of Directors, representing the sixteen Arab countries members of the network, and they are: Dr. Hassan Abdul Atti (Sudan), Mr. Abdul Nabi Al-Akri (Bahrain), Dr. Hassan Obeiana (Morocco), lawyer Hooger Sheikha (Iraq), lawyer Ayman Aqeel (Egypt), lawyer Ali Al-Daylami (Yemen), Dr. Omar Rahal (Palestine), lawyer Rula Abu shabaka (Lebanon), Mr .
