ACHRS closely monitored the 56th<\/sup> Session of the UN Human Rights Council, particularly regarding updates on the center\u2019s areas of focus including the right to speak, right to participate, right to life and academic freedom. We have also reviewed comments and recommendations made by special rapporteurs on countries in the region such as Libya, Algeria and Palestine. We have also reviewed key developments in the Universal Periodic Review for Saudi Arabia, addressing the most significant recommendations that were produced in the session. As a result, we have prepared statements on our priorities, and the recent updates on them in light of the 56th<\/sup> session of the Human Rights Council meetings.
