Ali Al-Mousawi\/ Associate Professor in Engineering College, Dr. Faisal Hameed Al-Mulla\/ Associate Professor in Education College, Dr. Hameed Mattar\/ Assistant Professor in English Language &amp; Literature, Dr. Hameeda J. Abo Hussain\/ Assistant Professor in Business Administration College, Dr. Hayfa A. Al-Mukharriq\/ Assistant Professor Arts College, Dr. A. Amir Ahmed Barakat\/ Assistant Professor in Arts College, Dr. Osama T. Albaharna\/ Assistant Professor in Engineering College, Dr. Adel Abdulla\/ Assistant Professor in Engineering College, Dr. Anwar H. Rafiey\/ Assistant Professor in Engineering College, Dr. Fadhel Abbas Albasri\/ Assistant Professor in Engineering College, Dr. Anwar A.Hussain Saleh\/ Assistant Professor in Science College, Abdulla Ahmed Alderazi\/ Lecturer in Arts College, Abdulla Mahdi\/ Lecturer in Engineering College, Hajer Ali Ahmed Mahfood\/ Instructor in Arts College, Hasan Saeed S. Marzooq\/ Instructor in English Language Center, Dr. Fuad Ali Iksail\/ Lecturer in Teaching College, Mohammed Isa A.Hameed\/ Lecturer in Arts College, Fatema Salman Alhalwachi\/ Teaching Assistant \u2013 PhD student in Arts College.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"> <\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">While the Arab Society for Academic Freedom deeply expresses concern about this arbitrary and unjust decision against a group of academics at the University of Bahrain, it appeals to the university&#8217;s administration to use reason not emotion in dealing with the differing political, social, and economic opinion especially in critical and difficult conditions experienced by the Kingdom of Bahrain.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"> <\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">It is worth mentioning that the dismissal decisions were based on committees of inquiry that did not prove any shortage in their academic duties, but because of these committees think that these academics have different political views.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"> <\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The Arab Association for Academic Freedom also appeals all international organizations concerned with human rights and the rghts of academic to demand the administration of the University of Bahrain to waive this decision.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"> <\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong>Amman<\/strong><strong>, 13\/8\/2011.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Arab society for Academic Freedom learned from reliable sources that the University of Bahrain has taken on Thursday 11\/8\/2011 a decision to dismiss twenty Bahraini academics and given them one week to appeal the decision.
