{"id":4559,"date":"2023-05-03T16:00:04","date_gmt":"2023-05-03T13:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/?p=4559"},"modified":"2023-05-30T15:53:49","modified_gmt":"2023-05-30T12:53:49","slug":"4559","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/2023\/05\/03\/4559\/","title":{"rendered":"Programs and Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Producing Knowledge<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The ACHRS published 56 <strong>books<\/strong> on human rights issues and civil society in the MENA region, and sev<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">eral other <a href=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/category\/publications\/\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">publications<\/span> <\/a>including 6 annual reports on press freedom in the Arab states, 1 annual report on access to information in the Arab states, 9 annual reports on the death penalty in the Arab states and 2 annual reports on monitoring elections in the Arab States.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The ACHRS also organized more than 170 <strong>conferences, seminars, discussion groups and lectures<\/strong> on various human rights issues with around 1 850 researchers, experts and human rights activists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The center also participates in monitoring Human Rights issues in the MENA region by writing <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/category\/statements\/\">statements<\/a> <\/span>and publishing its monthly <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/category\/news\/hrm\/\">Human Rights Monitor<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Raising Awareness<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The ACHRS held more than 540 <strong>training courses<\/strong> on different human rights topics. <span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/category\/trainings\/\">Read more.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Capacity Building<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><em><strong>Training of Trainers (TOT&#8217;s)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><em><strong>Women leadership Program<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><em><strong>Youth Leadership Program<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><em><strong>Internship Program <\/strong><\/em><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/2023\/03\/20\/internships-at-the-achrs\/\">(read more)<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><a style=\"color: #99cc00;\" href=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/category\/trainings\/\">Click here<\/a> <\/span>to know more about our programs\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The ACHRS also has a large <strong>alumni network<\/strong> comprised of former interns, partners, active members and frequent volunteers. They frequently participate on behalf of the ACHRS in conferences, meetings, events etc., all around the world.
