The fourth was held in Zarqa in cooperation with the General Union of Jordanian women under the On the sixtieth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies [ACHRS] held five sessions on women&#8217;s rights in the five governorates of Jordan<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p>  <!--more--> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-157\" src=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/041208-1.jpg\" alt=\"Graduation of five classes on women's rights \" style=\"border: 1px solid #000000; margin: 5px; float: left; width: 300px; height: 375px\" title=\"Graduation of five classes on women's rights \" width=\"300\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/041208-1.jpg 300w, https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/041208-1-240x300.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>&nbsp;T<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">he first was held in cooperation with the Society of the Ladies of Bounty for the Care of Orphans in Salt in which 20 men and women participated. The second was held in cooperation with the Center for the Liqa&#8217; Home for People with Special Needs in Madaba in which 20 men and women participated. The third was held in Jerash in cooperation patronage of the Chairman of the <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">Union<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">, Mrs. Nuha al-Ma&#8217;aytah, in which 30 men and women participated. The fifth and last was held in Karak in cooperation with the Cooperative Women&#8217;s Society in which 25 men and women participated. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\"><\/span> <\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">Participants in the training sessions discussed the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women, the management of campaigns on women&#8217;s issues, violence against women, the history of the social gender and the gender concepts and roles, family violence, women&#8217;s stereotype in the media, forms of the abuse of the child, the right to get married and to have a family, women participation in elections, women&#8217;s rights as stipulated by the labor law, women and the decision-making centers, and the economic empowerment of women.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\"><\/span> <\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">The training was done by a number of human rights trainers from <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">Jordan<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\"> and some fraternal Arab countries.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\"><\/span> <\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">It should be recalled that ever since it was established, the ACHRS has held more than 300 training sessions on human rights in which more than 7,500 men and women from 18 Arab states participated. <span><\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n<p> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/DOCUME%7E1\/ADMINI%7E1\/LOCALS%7E1\/Temp\/moz-screenshot-1.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/C:\/DOCUME%7E1\/ADMINI%7E1\/LOCALS%7E1\/Temp\/moz-screenshot-2.jpg\" \/> <\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr; unicode-bidi: embed; text-align: justify\" dir=\"ltr\"> &nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Graduation of five classes on women&#8217;s rights in the five Jordanian governorates of Jerash, Zarqa, Karak, Salt and Madaba&nbsp;&nbsp; with the Gracia Society under the patronage of the Director of Development in Jerash in which 25 men and women participated.
