{"id":1099,"date":"2015-06-16T07:41:34","date_gmt":"2015-06-16T04:41:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/2015\/06\/16\/a-member-of-the-scientific-council-of-the-center-dr-lubna-bayouq-participate-in-the-brussels-meeting\/"},"modified":"2023-04-11T12:36:18","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T09:36:18","slug":"a-member-of-the-scientific-council-of-the-center-dr-lubna-bayouq-participate-in-the-brussels-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/achrs.org\/english\/2015\/06\/16\/a-member-of-the-scientific-council-of-the-center-dr-lubna-bayouq-participate-in-the-brussels-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"A member of the Scientific Council of the Center, Dr. Lubna Bayouq participate in the Brussels meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 12pt;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 12pt;\">On the 12<sup>th<\/sup>&#8211; 13<sup>th<\/sup>&#8211; 14<sup>th<\/sup> of June the Euro Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN),<\/span><\/p>\n<p>  <!--more-->  <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 12pt;\"> which is one of few regional organizations bringing human rights activists and civil society activists on both sides of the Mediterranean together, held the 10<sup>th<\/sup> General Assembly in Brussels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 12pt;\">Dr. Lubna Bayouq represented the ACHRS during this meeting as our Center is a member of EMHRN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 12pt;\">The General Assembly elected a president and a new Executive Committee, admitted new members and adopted political priorities to face the actual difficulties in the Euro-Med region such as the escalation of conflicts, the deaths at the sea, refugees and displacement crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: times new roman,times; font-size: 12pt;\">It also run three workshops: \u201cMultiple Borders: Deaths, Encounters and Access to Rights\u201d, \u201cHuman Rights and the Militarization of Politics in South of the Mediterranean\u201d and \u201cENP Revision: Human Rights First\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the 12th&#8211; 13th&#8211; 14th of June the Euro Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN), which is one of few regional organizations bringing human rights activists and civil society activists on both sides of the Mediterranean together, held the 10th General Assembly in Brussels.
