July 30 has been designated as the World Day against Trafficking in Persons by a resolution adopted by UN member states in 2013. They declared that such a day was necessary to “raise awareness of the situation of victims of human trafficking and for the promotion and protection of their rights.”
ACHRS would like to invite everyone to not ignore such crime and serious human right violation. We must do our best to prevent this kind of atrocity and eliminate it as soon as possible.
“Human trafficking takes many forms and knows no borders. Human traffickers too often operate with impunity, with their crimes receiving not nearly enough attention. This must change.” — UN Secretary-General António Guterres
