On Saturday 8 July 2017, introductory sessions were held for participants in the tenth instalment of the Jordanian Institute for Women Leaders Program. This follows the graduation of eight other groups of 90 students from Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan and Libya. 15 others graduated in Libya when the program was held there in 2014.

The introductory sessions included an overview of the CV of the Women Leaders Program since its launch in 2010, decided on the course dates and convened a general discussion to discover the extent of the women’s participation in public life and their commitment to the rules governing the implementation of the program.

This year 117 applications were received. After written and oral examinations and despite difficulties in differentiating between applicants, 15 participants from Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Sudan were accepted in tenth instalment.
